When designing this commercial for the Converse CX Line, my mission was to introduce a redesign of Chuck Taylor’s CXs. The commercial is only ten (10) seconds long so making the most of the animation was important. I animated scenes to align with the instrumental. I added typography that translated throughout the animation and incorporated the movements that connected with the words. I also implemented a 3D background to align with the futuristic style of the re-modified Chuck Taylors’. Most importantly was the incorporation of the CX shoe having the spotlight throughout the animation. When ending this commercial, I wanted to highlight the emotions of the CX shoe to future generations.
